Cherie grew up in the Maryland suburbs outside of Washington. D.C. with her mother and older sister. Growing up her mother always emphasized the importance of school and education. As a teenager she explored a number of different subjects and interests in school, but nothing quite stuck like the arts. Her vibrant personality and love for life have always made her a perfect fit for entertainment. After losing her mother to cancer at the early age of 17. she quickly learned the lesson that life is short and was meant to be lived. Unfortunately her mom passed away before she got the opportunity to share her discovery and love for acting. She instinctively found the gumption needed to pack up and send herself off to college. After graduation she attended Hampton University for two years in the neighboring state of Virginia, and from there she transferred to the University of Maryland to study Theatre at the Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center.
College was a bit of a culture shock after being sheltered by her mom for so many years. The journey was bumpy but she eventually settled into adulthood, and the decision to live life with no excuses and no regrets. Her colle ge years included a role in the university production of "For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When The Rainbow Is Enuf." It was in this particular production that she discovered a means to express her emotions through the characters and their stories. Through performance she found a sense of freedom, self-expression, and purpose. She uses these experiences today as an 'instruction manual' to refer to in her acting work.
After graduating college and receiving her Bachelor of Arts Degree, her focus shifted to finding ways to create opportunities to explore new artistic challenges. It was at this time that she made the decision to move to Los Angeles to swim with the big fish. It didn't take long for her to find commercial success working with leading advertisers such as Neutrogena, Sebastian Professional, Proctor & Gamble, and Johnson & Johnson. Cherie's proven to be more than just a commercial talent as she's narrowed her focus to film and television, and continues her climb up the entertainment ladder.
Cherie Price is a rising star in the world of entertainment and is determined to make a name for herself in the film industry. Between projects she's found time to explore other interests which include Sign Language and Spanish. During her down time you can find her spending time with family and friends, hiking, cooking, dancing, enjoying music, traveling, reading, jumping around, and laughing loudly.
